Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before signing the rental agreement form.
Rental Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to rent equipment and, if necessary, provide a valid identification document.
Rental Period
The rental period starts from the time we deliver the equipment and continues until the equipment is returned to agreed location. Rental rates are calculated based on a days or week, as specified in our pricing schedule, or other agreed with the customer.
Equipment Condition
You agree to inspect the equipment before entering water and notify us of any existing damages or issues, you are responsible for returning the equipment in the same condition as it was rented. You will be liable for any damages, loss, or theft of the equipment during the rental period.
Rental Responsibilities
The customer will not make any modifications or alterations to the equipment, nor install accessories (camera / photography accessories, etc) on the equipment without prior written permission. The loss or destruction, total or partial of the equipment and its accessories constitute the customer to compensate for the inherent damages. You are responsible for returning the equipment in the same condition as it was rented. Subleasing or sub renting the equipment is prohibited. The equipment should be lock when not in use and you should take appropriate measures to prevent theft.
Costs Associated with Damage to SUP Equipment
The customer is responsible for the equipment from the moment of delivery until its return to Sesimbra SUP Rentals. In the event of damage, loss or destruction of any equipment, the customer may be charged for the reasonable cost of repair or replacement, depending on the nature and extent of the damage.
For SUP boards, minor scratches, superficial damage or cosmetic repairs may result in a charge of approximately €20. Significant damage, punctures or major repairs may result in a charge of approximately €100. If a board is irreparably damaged or destroyed, the full security deposit of €200 will be charged.
Damage to or loss of a fin may result in a charge of approximately €25. Damage to a paddle may range from approximately €20 - €50 for minor damage to €30 - €70 if the paddle is broken or requires replacement. A lost or damaged leash may result in a charge of approximately €25.
For other equipment supplied with the rental, including pumps, trolleys, waterproof bags, phone pouches and life jackets, the customer may be charged for the repair or replacement of the item. Indicative replacement costs are approximately €30 - €60 for a pump, €50 - €80 for a trolley, €10 - €20 for a waterproof bag or phone pouch, and €30 - €60 for a life jacket.
The above amounts are indicative and may vary depending on the actual repair or replacement cost, the model and condition of the equipment, and the extent of the damage. Sesimbra SUP Rentals reserves the right to assess each case individually and determine the appropriate repair or replacement cost based on the actual condition of the equipment./font>
Normal wear and tear resulting from reasonable use of the equipment is not considered damage. The customer will not be charged for ordinary signs of use that do not affect the equipment's functionality, performance or safety.
The customer must not attempt to repair, modify or alter any equipment without prior authorization from Sesimbra SUP Rentals. Any unauthorized repair or modification that causes additional damage may result in additional charges. Any applicable repair or replacement costs may be deducted from the security deposit, where applicable, or otherwise charged to the customer.
Rental Fees & Payment
Payment must be made in euros, up-front and in a method accepted by us at the time of booking. For deliveries in Setúbal (City) we charge a fee of €7,50.
Payment method: Cash, Visa, Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Mobile Payments, Wire Transfer, Revolut.
Security Deposit
A security deposit is mandatory before delivering the equipment and will be refunded up to 48 hours to the renter upon the safe and undamaged return of the equipment. If necessary, additional charges, such as late fees, damage fees, cleaning, or recovery fees, may be applied.
Liability and Insurance
During the rental period, the customer is fully responsible for any and all damage caused to the rented equipment, by himself and/or third parties. Please check with your existing Life Insurers all personal cover for accidents, injuries, or any other damages. We are not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to property arising from the misuse of the equipment.
Rental Extension
If you wish to extend the rental period, you must contact us in advance. Additional fees may apply for rental extensions.
Cancellation & Refunds
We will refund the entire amount (deposit and rental fees) in case of cancellations up to 72 hours before the date of delivery. For cancellations less than 72 hours we will refund the entire deposit and 75% of the total rental price. No refunds will be provided for late arrivals, late pickups or situations of no-show. Additional charges, such as late fees, damage fees, cleaning, or recovery fees, may be applied if necessary, and deposit will be lost.

Sesimbra SUP Rentals, operated by Tiago Paulo Azevedo, Empresário em Nome Individual (ENI), with VAT number 229 134 807, is registered with Turismo de Portugal under RNAAT registration no. 832/2026 for the rental of Stand Up Paddle (SUP), surf, bodyboard, windsurf, kitesurf, skiming, and others, for recreational use, in accordance with the applicable Portuguese legislation and regulatory requirements. Also owner of the domain sesimbrasuprentals.com.
We reserve the right to amend or modify these terms and conditions at any time, and such changes will be effective upon posting the updated terms on our website or notifying you directly.
By renting equipment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree all terms and conditions, rental agreement, sefety rules and safety guide.
